Eaten in Tokyo: January 2012 edition.

I gave Joey’s husband Tak (more on them later) the instruction ‘find me somewhere delicious!’ when he asked what I wanted to eat. Going to Hokkaido monthly for business, he knows that the food up north is pretty much the best food in all of Japan (I always thought I was biased, so it was nice to have his affirmation) and he stressed about where to take us. He shouldn’t have worried, though, because the little izakaya we ended up at was really tasty. Did you know sting ray fins are sweet and chewy? Now you do.
