This might not be ground breaking news to you, unlike the rest of the topics I tackle on this little blogosphere, but I am no longer falling all over Sapporo.
No more prints of my bottom on the snowy ground.
No more sliding and slipping like a drunk man on an ice rink.
No more landing, palms and knees first on the bullet-hard road.
That’s right, my boots are finally here! Oh, BOOTS. I never thought I could love an inanimate object quite as much as I love the pair of you. I wanted to sleep with one set on my feet while cradling the other in my arms, like a pair of puppies.
Sarah’s Winter Lesson # 1 : The right boots count. If you live in an icy tundra (it was -22 degrees celsius this morning) , then you need warm, lined, waterproof boots. Most importantly, you need to check the grip. These are both from the North Face and although the sole is just covered with what looks like a pretty snowflake pattern, it is in fact a clamp-on that practically glues you to the road. RECOMMENDED!
