Im sitting on a bus, trundling through downtown Sapporo after having run away from the office (not a single other teacher had left and I always feel awkward and guilty being the first to depart -CATHOLIC GUILT).
Just before I left , I was sitting at my desk ‘working’ and secretly listening to music, when I accidentally pulled my earphones out of my laptop and some loud, obnoxious song blared out (YES! ‘I’m sexy and I know it’ by LMFAO! How did you know??) and as I fumbled with my computer trying to turn down the sound but succeeding only on making it louder, I realized that there was only one thing that could be done. And that was: spend fifteen minutes hiding in the deserted girls loo on the 3rd floor and then run away.
So here I am, whizzing away and delighted with life. apparently the way to fulfillment is Leave Work Early.
The Japanese army… Oops, I mean ‘defense force’ although the difference appears to be in name, mainly… Is out in force, building the snow sculptures for this year’s snow festival. I never get tired of seeing these military men carefully sculpting giant, icy Care Bears.
The end.
